Summer Cream Puffs (Red, White and Blue)
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon raspberry or strawberry jam
- 6 frozen, pre-made puff pastry pieces
- 1 container of whipped topping
- 1 cup Rainier Fruit Cherries (any variety), pitted and chopped
- 1 cup Rainier Fruit Organic Blueberries, rinsed and dried
- 1 tablespoon raspberry or strawberry jam
- Mint leaves, for garnish
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes minutes
Serves: 6
Instructions:
- Bake puff pastry’s according to directions
- Remove from oven and allow to fully cool
- While puffs are cooling, mix together blueberries and cherries with jam to create glaze (can add more jam to create heavier glaze if preferred)
- When cooled, separate each pastry piece in the center creating a top and bottom section
- Add dollop of whipped topping to bottom slice of each puff pastry, top with blueberry cherry mix and cover with top slice of puff pastry
- Add additional whipped topping and blueberry cherry glaze
- Add mint leaf for garnish
